Old Town Road
Over again
Down this same old town road
Here again we go,
For quiet nocturnal roller-coaster ride
Down once forth
The sun in her eyes switched for grays
Glooms eclipsed her crescent with placid
the shine of the stars above her city
Doomed by ebony co-wives of glee
Just once again
The skies we stand under
Are deeply immersed into ebony mists
A fog so thirsty that no light can quench
A sombre haze, thick and unthawed
Here again
In a flash,
She is carried on wings of a golden retriever
A redeemer like she one has known
Dressed in white and scarlet charms
Out of this same old town road
Down a road of chuckles,
soft smacks and soothed smiles we fly
