Miles
Take me to a rocky path
I'll walk with you
My feet won't fag out.
Take me a mile through thorny path
I'll still walk with you
My feet won't bleed out.
Take me miles in a dark forest
I'll walk with you
I won't freak out.
We glow like fire
Fear not, won't cause dire.
Tricky rhyme verse. ABC ABC ABC DD. A Couplet at the end. Definitely potential song lyrics. The "A" lines carry the poem. Musical. The ability to move in and out of rhyming schemes is a talent for music.
ReplyDeleteSurely Gorden, you can't imagine. I hadn't realized that. May be Hermes there is a lot more that you know about poetry that I don't. I am humbled Hermès. Thanks, surely, I am to continue calling you my mentor.
DeleteA natural poet is a master, only equal, never subordinate or superior. You are a natural poet
