Beyond The Dark Waters

As let go of you
I let go of  anguish
Expected you back soon
Forever has elapsed.

In a hysterical overwrought
I cast your dappled scarf
Into the blue ocean waters.

Forever for good
I let go of you
Maybe me and you
was Just an Infatuation,
Hold onto my love In the skies.

  1. You have used the reference to a "scarf" several times in your poems. I like this, to me, it becomes a representation of a scrap of memory, left behind.

"As let go of you I let go of the anguish
    Expected you back soon
    Forever has elapsed."

The first line is a pure allegory, while the next two lines beautifully demonstrate emotional longing, in an artfully, realistic way.

    This poem is well done.
